VON, NICO Host Children’s Cultural Fiesta

The National Institute for Cultural Orientation, NICO is hosting a two-day cultural fiesta in Lagos and Abuja from Thursday to Friday as a way to promote cultural diversity and cohesion.

The Lagos edition of the programme held at the Media Centre of the News Agency of Nigeria National, NAN, Theatre Complex.

Students from selected schools contested in various competitions that highlighted the theme of this year’s show which is ‘cultural diversity and national cohesion; the role of Nigerian youths.

At the event hosted by the Nigeria Institute for Cultural Orientation in partnership with Voice of Nigeria, an international NGO, Ashoka Innovators motivated Nigerians to be change makers, with a focus on youths engagement in leadership.

The General Manager and Chief Executive Officer of the National Troupe, Professor Sunday Enessi Ododo was the special guest of honour with  former Executive secretary of NICO, Chief Mrs.

VICTORIA Agodo as Mother of the Day.
