Exploring Vivienne Westwood’s Legacy Through the Iconic Corset
Vivienne Westwood is renowned for her contributions to fashion, from her punk-inspired designs to her vocal activism on social and environmental issues.
However, the corset remains the most recognizable and central item in her brand’s DNA, having been an essential element of her collections since its debut in 1987.
The corset’s historical references are exemplary of Westwood’s designs, which incorporated intricate details and playful parodies of the upper echelons of society.
