While President Donald Trump was enjoying a European getaway that included some quality time at his favorite golf spots, a viral video from Scotland has reignited conversations about his controversial golf habits—and yes, it involves another “cheating” allegation.

A Golf Outing Turns Into a Social Media Storm

Trump was spotted cruising around his Turnberry golf course in Scotland when a quiet moment suddenly became internet gold.

A video clip—filmed from inside a nearby building—shows Trump pulling up to the left side of the fairway in a golf cart, with a bunker ahead and some tall grass to his left.

Two caddies strolled past his cart, and that’s when one of them subtly bent down and dropped a golf ball right onto the fairway in front of Trump.

Moments later, Trump hopped out with a club in hand and made his way toward the newly placed ball.

The video ends before he takes a swing, but the footage was enough to get the internet talking.

Online Reactions Roll In With Sarcasm and Jabs

Once the clip hit social media, users wasted no time roasting the former president.

One joked, “Who needs a foot wedge when you have a personal ball dropper???” Another quipped, “Him and Kim Jong Un would be INSANE scramble partners.”

Even a supposed PGA pro chimed in, calling it “a perfect metaphor for our Commander-in-Cheat.”

Others took a lighter tone, with one saying, “Wild…Looks like I need these fellas as caddies with the way I hit it anymore.”

Trump’s Reputation for ‘Creative’ Golf Has a History

If Trump really did play that dropped ball, it wouldn’t be the first time he’s been accused of bending the rules on the course.

In fact, actor Samuel L. Jackson once shared his own experience with Trump on the green, saying bluntly, “Oh, I am [the better golfer], for sure. I don’t cheat.”

Trump, for his part, denied ever playing with Jackson.

But the claim isn’t isolated—actor Anthony Anderson told a similar story during a 2016 appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, saying, “Trump is a great golfer.

I’m not going to say Trump cheats. His caddy cheats for him.”

Anderson didn’t hold back on the details, adding that he saw it with his own eyes: “I mis-hit a ball… Trump hit the exact same shot but ended up with a perfect lie in the fairway.”

Anderson noted that Trump’s caddy had a way of making bad shots disappear or magically improve.

Sports Writer Once Called Him the ‘Pele of Cheating’

Trump’s reputation on the course also made its way into journalism.

In 2019, veteran sportswriter Rick Reilly penned a piece in The Sunday Times, claiming Trump often replays shots without reason and takes credit for others’ good strokes.

According to Reilly, caddies had nicknamed him “Pele” for frequently kicking his golf ball into a better position.

Reilly didn’t mince words, writing, “To say Donald Trump cheats is like saying Michael Phelps swims.

Trump doesn’t just cheat at golf. He cheats like a three-card monte dealer.”

What’s Next for Trump’s Golf Game?

Whether this was an innocent assist from a helpful caddy or another example in a long pattern of questionable play, the viral video has once again turned Trump’s favorite hobby into headline material.

As he continues to tee off on international courses, it looks like his golf game might keep drawing just as much attention as his politics.
