The van crossed the Juarez-Lincoln international bridge to Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, and Ramirez has not been heard from since.
Cavriales confessed to driving the van with a kidnapped victim, purportedly Ramirez, to Mexico and that three other people also participated in the kidnapping.

Erik Tadeo Ramirez is a man who has disappeared after being kidnapped by hooded men at a party in Laredo, Texas, on March 23.
According to reports, Ramirez boasted of having stolen over $50,000 from the Cartel del Noreste (CDN) during the party, which may have drawn the kidnappers’ attention.
The armed men forced him to get into a van at gunpoint and took him to Mexico, but his current whereabouts are unknown.
The alleged kidnapper of Ramirez, Jonathan Cavriales, was arrested by FBI agents, but Ramirez has yet to be found. A video recording shows a man with blood on his face opening the front door of the moving van, suggesting that Ramirez tried to escape but was pushed back inside.
Cavriales has confessed to driving the van to Mexico with Ramirez kidnapped and that three other people also participated in the kidnapping. Cavriales is expected to appear in court for a detention hearing and material witness detention hearing on April 4.
