Imagine someone crashing your $3.5 million (about R59 million) Ferrari. A man does not need to speculate after witnessing a valet smash his vehicle while he stood by helplessly. Tragically, the valet can be seen in a video that has since gone viral on YouTube crashing the expensive automobile into some parked scooters while attempting to park it.
Obviously, the owner has insurance, but the valet will be responsible for any excess charges. Let’s hope this was his first accident and he still has hundreds of dollars in tips from other drivers.
Valet crashes multi-million rand LaFerrari
Typically, owners of really expensive vehicles would never allow anyone to approach them. During a night out, a Dubai tycoon entrusted his $3.5 million Ferrari to a valet, demonstrating that he is a highly trusting individual.
Instead of parking the multimillion-dollar Ferrari LaFerrari safely, the valet crashed it into some scooters in a Monaco parking lot on the streets of the opulent French Riviera state of Monaco.
According to 2OceansVibe, just 499 units of the car with a starting price of over $1 million were ever manufactured.
A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity lost
These pricey vehicles are also regarded as the epitome of luxury and exclusivity on the road, which explains why the valet driver was so keen to drive one – something he will likely never be permitted to do again.
People had stopped to snap pictures of the magnificent blue Ferrari when the accident occurred, as captured in a video that has subsequently been uploaded to YouTube.
The car’s carbon fiber front splitter and front bumper now have multiple scratches, which the owner’s insurance company may pay to repair.
In addition, the young valet can be required to pay additional fees.
