An outsider in the Grand National race, Back On The Lash, is currently leading the betting with £100 million expected to be placed on the Saturday event.

Despite being rated at 33/1 by Paddy Power, the English-trained horse is the most backed in the race, with the nine-year-old gelding having the potential to cause an upset and surprise the bookies.
The current favourite, Corach Rambler, trained by Lucinda Russell, has odds of 13/2. However, Delta Work, at 8/1, is the second most backed, while Minella Trump has odds of 50/1, making it the third most backed.
Back On The Lash: The Low Weight Contender
Back On The Lash, to be ridden by Adam Wedge, is owned by veteran former Premier League boss, Harry Redknapp.
Along with three others, Redknapp bought the horse from its previous owner in 2022, and it has already brought in more than £29,000 in winnings.

In the 40-strong field, Back On The Lash is carrying the joint lowest weight at 10st2lb, which is a potential advantage.
The Most Popular Horses for Punters
Rachael Kane, spokesperson for Paddy Power, stated that “every man, woman and dog enjoys a little flutter on the Aintree Grand National, a showstopper on the annual racing calendar, so our traders will be galloping to keep up with the pace long before the race gets underway.”
UK punters have been placing their bets on Back On The Lash, part-owned by football legend Harry Redknapp, while the majority of Irish punters are supporting Rachael Blackmore and Ain’t That A Shame.
The six most backed horses for the Randox 2023 Grand National, in addition to Back On The Lash, are Delta Work, Minella Trump, The Big Dog, Eva’s Oskar, and Cloudy Glen.
Bookies Consider Their Stance
The bookies will be keeping a close eye on the betting activity, particularly with Back On The Lash being the most popular horse among punters.
The high level of support could result in a significant payout for betters if the horse manages to pull off an unexpected win.
However, the bookies will be strategizing their next move and considering their stance to mitigate any potential losses.
