UAQ Ruler receives Reem Al Hashemy, pavilion commissioners at Expo 2020 Dubai

Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain, stressed that the UAE’s achievements in organising Expo 2020 Dubai is an inspiration to the entire world.

Sheikh Saud made this statement while receiving a delegation from Expo 2020 Dubai, led by Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director-General of Expo 2020 Dubai, and comprising commissioners-general of participating pavilions.

Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Qaiwain.

Sheikh Saud said that Expo 2020 Dubai coincides with the country’s Golden Jubilee, underscoring the achievements accomplished by the country across all sectors, due to the efforts of the Founding Fathers and the UAE’s leadership.

He then lauded the country’s capacity to gather over 200 international participants, including 192 countries, to help address common global challenges, enhancing the UAE’s prominent stature and distinguished international relations.

He also commended the national team of Expo 2020 Dubai and the success they achieved, especially as the event is taking place amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sheikh Saud was briefed by Reem Al Hashemy about the event’s organisation and achievements.

She highlighted her appreciation for the support of Umm Al Qaiwain’s leadership for Expo 2020 Dubai, stating, “Due to the country’s successful hosting of the major international event, the UAE has been able to host people from around the world and restore the international confidence in its ability to overcome hardships, thanks to the country’s leadership and the loyal efforts of its people.

The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council of Umm Al Qaiwain; Sheikh Majid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Chairman of the Department of Tourism and Antiquities in Umm Al Qaiwain; Sheikh Ahmed bin Khalid Al Mualla, Head of the Urban Planning Department in Umm Al Quwain; Nasser Saeed Al Talay, Director of the Emiri Diwan in Umm Al Quwain; Rashid Mohammed Ahmed, Director of Ceremonies at the Emiri Diwan; Saif Humaid Salem, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain, and several officials from Umm Al Qaiwain.
