NAIROBI, Kenya (February 4, 2019) — In Nairobi, police apprehended two people posing as members of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
The two were apprehended after they stormed into the office of an unsuspecting Kenyan claiming to be investigating a land fraud case, according to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
The two were apprehended after entering the WanderJoy Party headquarters on Kiambu Road and pestering the proprietor, allegedly seeking a bribe to allow a land fraud lawsuit against him to be delayed.
Police say that they were driving two top of the range vehicles fitted with strobe lights and well-built men hanging on to the vehicles’ doors.
