Two female workers at the Ducks Deli Lunch Bar in Hamilton Hill, Perth, fled the store at about 9.20am on Thursday after the man clad in a hoodie ran behind the counterAs terrified employees fled for their life, a man with a 30 cm long knife rushed a deli and grabbed up to $800 worth of smokes.

At around 9.20am on Thursday, a man wearing a hoodie ran behind the counter at the Ducks Deli Lunch Bar in Hamilton Hill, Perth, prompting two female employees to leave the establishment.

According to Lily, one of the employees, the man pointed the knife at both her and her supervisor.

I was going to serve a man who entered the store wearing a medical mask and a hoodie tight over his head, thinking he was a client, when he pulled a knife out and aimed it at us, the woman told The West.

He said “rob” while holding it up in one hand and a bag in the other. He didn’t say anything else before speeding by us and opening the cabinet that contained the cigarette behind the counter.

Once the man turned his back, Lily and her boss were free to leave.

We made the decision to flee since we were unsure of what he would do next. I was really terrified, she admitted.

Police were contacted when the robber fled the store, but the man is still at large.
