Fans of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! are already in for a treat, and not just from the jungle antics.
A clip of AngryGinge letting slip his real name to football pundit Micah Richards has gone viral, leaving both the Twitch star and Micah in uncontrollable fits of laughter.
At 24, AngryGinge—known online as Angryginge or Angryginge13—is gearing up for his first stint in the jungle.
Bookmakers are already tipping him as an early favourite, but even some of his followers may not know what his birth certificate actually says.
Micah Richards Can’t Contain Himself
During a chat on the Baller League UK podcast, AngryGinge urged Micah to mention him on Sky Sports.
But when Micah asked his “government name,” the moment turned instantly hilarious.
“Morgan,” replied AngryGinge, prompting Micah to collapse with laughter.
“WHAT? Morgan?” he cried.
Even after AngryGinge defended his name, Micah couldn’t stop giggling.
The streamer went on to reveal that his dad even wanted to dye his ginger hair as a baby, adding fuel to the comedic fire.
When his surname—Burtwistle—was revealed, Micah doubled over again.
The video has taken Reddit and TikTok by storm, with fans joining in on the laughter.
Comments ranged from “Morgan BURTWHISTLE the kid never stood a chance” to “His name is built for a Harry Potter character.”
It seems the internet can’t get enough of Micah’s infectious energy and AngryGinge’s quirky charm.
From Twitch to the Jungle
AngryGinge has amassed five million followers on social media, earning an estimated £1 million from livestreaming football commentary and casual chat sessions.
Before heading into the jungle, he admitted to needing a break from constant talking during streams, which usually last six to nine hours.
But he’s not letting nerves get the better of him.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, he confessed feeling some imposter syndrome as he prepares to mix with established celebrities.
“Meeting the rest of the cast is nerve-wracking because I’ve never classed myself as a celebrity,” he explained.
Celebrity Friends and Insider Advice
Despite his relative newcomer status, AngryGinge has rubbed shoulders with some big names.
He’s friends with Wayne Rooney, whom he met through FIFA streams, and has shared screen time with Luke Littler on Celebrity Gogglebox.
He even picked up tips from Wayne’s wife, Coleen Rooney, last year’s runner-up on I’m A Celebrity, about how to survive the jungle.
Coleen advised reducing caffeine intake a month ahead of filming and cleverly emptying water bottles for trials so production refills them, since the camp water is “smokey.”
Jungle Trials Begin Ahead of Sunday Launch
AngryGinge has already jumped into action alongside fellow contestants Ruby Wax, Lisa Riley, Jack Osbourne, and Alex Scott.
Their first trial involved placing a glass bowl over their heads while snakes slithered inside to fight for seats in the luxury “Getaway Car,” granting them comfy camp beds.
Those who lost the challenge faced the dreaded Coco Van, a bus filled with fish guts.
Despite completing their trials, the celebrities will officially enter the jungle on Saturday.
Rain and thunderstorms over Australia’s Gold Coast slowed filming, making the process last several hours.
Meanwhile, other contestants—including Kelly Brook, Martin Kemp, Aitch, Eddie Kadi, and Shona McGarty—parachuted onto a beach for a separate trial, celebrating their successful jumps with a joyful huddle.
