Tucker Carlson slams Donald Trump for dismissing questions about Jeffrey Epstein during Texas press event

In a political landscape where loyalty often takes precedence over tough questions, Tucker Carlson is making it clear he’s not afraid to speak up—even when that means calling out Donald Trump.

During a recent conversation with conservative pundit Charlie Kirk, the former Fox News host didn’t hold back, expressing serious frustration over Trump’s response to ongoing questions about Jeffrey Epstein.

Trump Brushes Off Epstein Inquiry

It all started when a reporter asked Trump about a Justice Department memo that officially claimed Epstein left no “client list” and died by suicide in his jail cell.

Trump quickly shut the question down, calling it irrelevant in light of the flooding crisis in Texas.

“We have Texas, we have this, we have all of the things,” Trump said, brushing off the inquiry.

“And are people still talking about this guy? This creep? That is unbelievable.”

Carlson Isn’t Buying It

Carlson, however, was far from satisfied with Trump’s deflection. “Why is that not a fair question?” he asked.

“There’s tons of evidence something deeper is going on. Are you joking?”

He slammed the notion that asking about Epstein is somehow disrespectful or conspiratorial.

“These questions might be dumb—but they’re not crazy,” he said. “And if they are, explain how.”

Carlson pointed out that labeling these kinds of questions as offensive—especially by comparing them to the loss of lives in Texas—was an “outrageous response.”

He didn’t mince words either, saying, “I voted against that kind of crap.”

A Sharp Break From MAGA Orthodoxy

This isn’t the first time Carlson has drifted away from MAGA orthodoxy.

He’s previously come under fire from Trump supporters for opposing U.S. military strikes in Iran and even for interviewing the Iranian president.

At the Turning Point USA Student Action Summit in Tampa, Carlson escalated his criticism, suggesting Epstein was part of a larger blackmail operation, possibly tied to Mossad, and slammed Trump’s team for what he viewed as performative politics instead of transparency.

Behind-the-Scenes Drama Over Epstein Case

Carlson’s frustrations also extended to Attorney General Pam Bondi, who he said has failed to address the growing number of questions surrounding Epstein’s death and background.

He called her insistence that the case was “closed” simply unacceptable.

According to insiders, Bondi is now under pressure from FBI boss Kash Patel and deputy Dan Bongino, who are allegedly urging her to resign over the administration’s handling of the case.

Carlson Defends Citizen Accountability

“Criticizing the behavior of a government agency doesn’t make you a hater,” Carlson said at the summit. “It makes you a free person—it makes you a citizen.

You’re allowed to do that because you’re not a slave.”

He added that dismissing citizens’ questions, especially on a case that involves public officials, is exactly the kind of government behavior people should be questioning.

Questions Linger Over Epstein Footage

Fueling further skepticism, a recent analysis from Wired revealed that the so-called “raw” surveillance footage showing Epstein’s final hours in his cell may have been edited.

Experts say the video was likely manipulated using Adobe Premiere Pro before being released by the Justice Department.

The footage, nearly 11 hours long, was pulled from a camera outside Epstein’s New York City cell—yet many wonder how such a high-profile inmate could’ve taken his own life under such surveillance.

The Conspiracy That Won’t Go Away

More than six years after Epstein’s death, questions remain—and so do the conspiracy theories.

How did someone with so many elite connections end up dead in a jail cell with no witnesses, no clear answers, and apparently, no client list?

Carlson wants answers—and he’s made it clear that the American people deserve them too.
