A political firestorm erupted outside the White House as Stephen Miller, one of Donald Trump’s most vocal advisers, slammed Democratic Senator Chris Van Hollen for his recent trip to El Salvador.
The senator made headlines after meeting Kilmar Abrego Garcia—a man deported during the administration’s immigration crackdown and described by Democrats as a wrongly removed Maryland father of three.
But Miller wasn’t buying it. Speaking passionately to reporters, he said he was “beyond appalled” that a U.S. senator would sit down with someone the Trump administration claims has ties to the notorious MS-13 gang.
A Fierce War of Words Over Who Garcia Really Is
According to Miller, multiple federal and state agencies had documented Abrego Garcia as a member of MS-13—a group classified by the U.S. government as a foreign terrorist organization.
He even pointed to past allegations of domestic abuse involving Garcia.
“That’s who Van Hollen is standing by?” Miller questioned, accusing the senator of sympathizing more with undocumented immigrants than with American safety.
“His heart is reserved for an illegal alien who’s part of a violent gang.”
Democrats, however, are painting a very different picture—calling Garcia a Maryland resident caught up in an overreaching deportation policy.
They insist he was removed in error and is not involved with any criminal organization.
Trump Adds Fuel to the Fire with Social Media Attack
Donald Trump wasted no time weighing in. He tore into Van Hollen with one of his signature online rants, calling the senator a “fool” and a “grandstander” for what he called a publicity stunt.
“Begging for attention,” Trump wrote, criticizing Van Hollen for what he saw as an embarrassing display on foreign soil.
The president also made it clear that he stands by the administration’s deportation decisions, suggesting anyone with gang ties has no place in the U.S.
Relationship Rumors Continue to Swirl Around Noem and Lewandowski
In a separate bit of political drama, the spotlight shifted to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and longtime Trump adviser Corey Lewandowski.
Despite lingering rumors about their closeness and concerns from within the White House, the two are reportedly tighter than ever.
Although Lewandowski initially eyed the role of Noem’s chief of staff, Trump and other top aides nixed that plan due to concerns about how it would look.
Instead, Lewandowski has been brought on as a special government employee—keeping him close but not in an official top-tier role.
Both Noem and Lewandowski deny any romantic relationship and remain married to other people.
Heartbreaking Loss for Trump-Aligned Congressman
Away from the political fights, Congressman Andy Biggs shared a deeply personal and heartbreaking update.
His daughter, Cosette Biggs-Finerd, recently lost her battle with cancer.
The Arizona Republican said his family is devastated but thankful they could be by Cosette’s side in her final days.
“We are humbled by the love and support pouring in from the community,” he wrote on social media.
Trump Recruits Fox News Stars to Tackle Immigration Policy
Continuing his campaign-style governance, Trump announced a revamped Homeland Security Advisory Council that includes familiar conservative media figures.
Among them: Fox News host Mark Levin, who Trump described as a “top expert” ready to shape policy at the highest levels.
The list also includes South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster, former NYPD detective Bo Dietl, and Florida State Senator Joe Gruters.
The council will focus heavily on immigration and border issues.
VP JD Vance Observes Good Friday at the Vatican
Vice President JD Vance, along with his wife Usha and their three children, marked Good Friday at one of the most sacred places in Christianity—St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome.
Vance was spotted carrying his daughter while taking part in the services and later posted a heartfelt Easter message to Americans back home.
“I’m especially grateful today,” he said, noting that the honor of representing the U.S. at such a significant religious occasion was not lost on him.
Congresswoman Luna Applauds Release of RFK Assassination Files
Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna is celebrating a major win for transparency.
Following an executive order signed by Trump, over 10,000 pages of previously classified documents related to the 1968 assassination of Senator Robert F. Kennedy have been made public.
Luna, who chairs the House declassification task force, praised the move, saying it honors the public’s right to know and brings long-overdue clarity to a national tragedy.
Melania Trump Shares Easter Wishes and White House Traditions
First Lady Melania Trump also joined in the Easter spirit, thanking her staff for putting together this year’s White House Easter Egg Roll.
The beloved tradition is expected to draw crowds of children and families to the South Lawn for a day of storytelling, games, and fun.
“May this Good Friday inspire hope and faith for all Americans,” she said in her Easter message, alongside the president and the ever-present Easter Bunny.
RFK Assassin Still Behind Bars Despite Renewed Interest
As the RFK assassination files draw attention, Sirhan Sirhan—the man convicted of the killing—is still locked up.
Despite a 2021 panel briefly granting him parole, California’s governor reversed that decision, citing concerns for public safety.
Now 77, Sirhan has been denied parole multiple times, with no sign that he’ll be released soon.
Meanwhile, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. continues to express doubt about the official story, even suggesting the presence of a second gunman.
