The victims, Samuel Brown and Madison Sims, had just attended their high school prom at the Tuscaloosa River Market before the accident.

Samuel Brown, 18, was a student at R.C. Hatch High School and played football.

Madison Sims, 17, went to Bryant High School and was on the track team.

Prom Car Accident Details

The prom car accident occurred at around 1:50 a.m. at the intersection of Skyland Boulevard East and Interstate 20/59.

The teenagers were driving in a 2022 Tesla which crashed into a semi-truck and got stuck under its trailer.

Unfortunately, Madison Sims, who was driving, and Samuel Brown, the front-seat passenger, did not survive the crash.

Two other passengers, a 17-year-old girl from Marion and an 18-year-old girl from Montgomery, were also in the car and suffered injuries.
