TRAGIC: Boy (7) DIES after father runs him over with BULLDOZER

The family of a seven-year-old boy has been left grief-striken after being accidentally run over by his father in a bulldozer, the New York Post reports.

Officials in Michigan, in the United States (US) say the boy and his father were working with heavy machinery in a field near their home, with the boy riding on a trailer being pulled by a bulldoze

BULLDOZER ACCIDENT BEING INVESTIGATED

A statement by Michigan State Police says the accident is under investigation. The incident occurred on 27 January at approximately 5:30 in Barry County.

“The 7-year-old boy was riding on a trailer being pulled by a bulldozer. The boy fell from the trailer and was run over by the bulldozer. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The names of individuals involved are being withheld at this time. It is not believed drugs or alcohol were a factor.”

According to the police’s DuWayne Robinson, the bulldozer was known to malfunction. He said the machine would abruptly stop and then shift into reverse on its own. He says investigators think that’s what happened when the boy fell off the trailer.
