What was supposed to be a fun-filled day out in Saudi Arabia turned into a terrifying disaster when a popular amusement ride malfunctioned mid-air.

The incident took place at Green Mountain Park, a well-known attraction near Taif’s Al-Hada region, and left dozens injured—some critically.

High-Speed Ride “360 Degrees” Snaps Mid-Operation

The ride involved is called “360 Degrees”, and it’s known for its adrenaline-pumping swings and rotations.

But during what seemed like a normal run, something went horribly wrong.

The central frame of the ride snapped in half, sending the platform—packed with riders—plummeting to the ground.

Eyewitness footage has already made the rounds online, showing the horrifying moment the ride broke apart.

You can see the machine swing upward, rotate, then suddenly crack.

The platform crashes violently into the opposite structure. In one particularly disturbing clip, a person is even seen being thrown several meters away on impact.

At Least 23 Injured, Three in Critical Condition

The aftermath was just as grim. Twenty-three people were confirmed injured, and at least three of them are in critical condition, according to local media.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene, and hospitals across Taif quickly declared an emergency status to deal with the sudden influx of victims.

Initial treatment began at the scene before patients were transported to medical facilities for further care.

Emergency Services and Authorities Launch Investigation

Authorities aren’t wasting time. Local security services and regulatory bodies have already launched a full investigation into the ride’s collapse.

The goal? To figure out whether there were mechanical issues, safety violations, or neglected inspections that contributed to the disaster.

Viral Outrage Over Ride Safety in the Kingdom

As videos of the crash continue spreading like wildfire online, public concern is growing.

Many are now questioning whether amusement park safety standards in Saudi Arabia are being taken seriously enough.

The footage alone has left a lasting impression on viewers, and the pressure is mounting for officials to respond transparently.
