Woman Dies in Brighton Marina Despite Valiant Efforts of Emergency Crews
On Tuesday, April 11, emergency services were called to Brighton Marina after receiving reports of a woman in the water.
Despite the valiant efforts of the coastguard from Brighton and Shoreham, as well as police and ambulance crews, to save the woman, she tragically passed away.

Desperate Attempts to Save the Woman
At around 4.30pm, emergency services arrived at Brighton Marina after receiving concerned calls about a woman in the water.
Emergency crews tried to revive her, with a coastguard helicopter from Lee-on-the-Solent in Hampshire also called to the scene and landed on the beach.
An eye-witness told The Argus that the crews performed CPR on the woman for a considerable amount of time.
Confirmation of Death and Police Investigation
Despite the efforts of the emergency crews, the woman was carried away on a stretcher and later confirmed to have passed away.
Sussex Police confirmed that her death is not being treated as suspicious.
A spokesperson for Sussex Police told The Argus that they conducted a search on the beach and found the woman’s body.
The spokesperson added that her next of kin have been informed.
