Traditional Ruler Of Nteje Igwe Odegbo Warns Youths Against Land Grabbing

The Traditional ruler of Nteje, Igwe Rowland Odegbo, has frowned at youths who engage in land grabbing and sales, warning them to desist from the act.

 

The monarch, who was speaking at the 2021 new yam festival of the community, noted that land grabbing and sales may expose people to hunger, violence and threat of a long time in poverty.

 

 

Igwe Odegbo, who also hinted that land grabbing and sales can hinder the traditional forms of agriculture, also harped on the need for Nteje indigenes to live in peace with their neighbours and shun acts that could disrupt the polity.

 

He urged youths to always be law abiding and give their unalloyed support to Governor Willie Obiano led administration.

 

Fellow Traditional rulers like, Igwe Benneth Emeka of Umueri,  Igwe Peter  Uyanwa of Ukwulu ,Igwe Romanus Ilo of Nise, and Igwe Joel Egwuonwu of Umuawulu, were present at the occasion.

 

Other Traditional rulers that attended the event were Igwe George Okaa-Onwuogu of Nawgu, Igwe Anthony Idigo of Aguleri, Igwe Peter Ezeamama of Enugu Umuoyia, Igwe Joseph Ajodo of Ukwalla town, and his Omasi counterpart, Igwe Benjamin  Okeji, among others.
