Tottenham defender Destiny Udogie crashes his Mercedes into bar in Udine

A Tottenham player, Destiny Udogie, who is on loan at Serie A side Udinese, was involved in a car accident when his Mercedes crashed into a bar located in Udine, Italy.

The crash happened at night when the left-back lost control of his car and veered into the venue, causing thousands of pounds worth of damage.

Udogie emerged from the wreckage unscathed, and no other injuries were reported.

He was breathalyzed by the police after the incident, but the results have not been disclosed.

The accident occurred just a day after his return to Tottenham this summer was confirmed by football expert Fabrizio Romano.

The incident

Udogie’s Mercedes crashed into the bar, causing a trail of destruction in his path.

Images of the crash revealed debris scattered on the floor, and chairs flipped over, with the area cordoned off.

The Italian-born star was unharmed, and no injuries were reported.

The bar, however, suffered expensive damage.

Career and loan

Udogie initially joined Spurs from Udinese in August 2022 for around £15million but was shipped back to the Serie A side on loan.

While playing for Udinese this season, he scored and set up three goals in 25 appearances in the top-tier division.

He played alongside former Everton forward Gerard Deulofeu at the club, who recently underwent his third bout of invasive knee surgery to try and solve his recurring injury issues, leaving him with a gruesome scar.

Udogie is expected to return to Tottenham this summer.

Upon signing for Spurs, he expressed his excitement to play under Antonio Conte, the team’s former coach, in the “biggest league in the world.”

The defender’s accident occurred just as his return to Tottenham was confirmed, leaving fans uncertain about the future of the promising young player.
