Steve Wilkos Shares Emotional Last Encounter with Jerry Springer

Former security guard and talk show host Steve Wilkos recently opened up about his last meeting with the late TV icon Jerry Springer.


Steve revealed that he and Jerry had an emotional get-together about a month ago, during which Jerry did not mention his pancreatic cancer diagnosis.

Steve, who worked on “The Jerry Springer Show” for 10 seasons from 1994 to 2007, joined “TMZ Live” to discuss his former boss and close friend’s passing.

Steve said that he and Jerry reminisced about their time on the show, something they rarely did, and that Jerry hugged him “like he never hugged me before.”

Although Jerry did not explicitly say goodbye, Steve now believes that Jerry may have been doing so during their last encounter.

Jerry passed away on Thursday at the age of 79 at his home in the Chicago area.
