The South Korean entertainment industry has recently lost another star, Moonbin, which has resurfaced the tragic death news of Goo Hara, a talented actress and singer.
Hara, also known as Hara, gained recognition for her appearances in the television dramas City Hunter and as a member of the K-pop girl group Kara.
She also debuted as a soloist in 2015 but had to pause her solo career in 2018 due to a legal case with her ex-boyfriend.
In June 2019, she resumed her solo activities in Japan to the delight of her fans.
However, tragedy struck when Goo Hara took her own life at the age of 28, found dead in her apartment by her housekeeper on November 24, 2019.
Fans of the K-pop industry are concerned about why these successful artists are taking their own lives, including Goo Hara and many other K-pop artists who die by suicide each year.
Many are blaming the pressures of K-pop fame and the contracts they sign with different agencies that physically, mentally, and emotionally pressure the idols.
Fans are currently discussing the pressures of K-pop fame, training a Korean pop “idol,” and mental and physical health in the K-pop industry.
The death of these artists is saddening their fans, as they remember those stars who died by taking their breath, finding it difficult to stay under contracts that took away their personal rights and choices.
Goo Hara’s Suicide Note
A handwritten “pessimistic” note was found in Goo Hara’s room after her death, where she described her life before her death.
However, the exact words she penned are not yet released to the public.
Her last Instagram post was a photo of herself, captioned “Good Night,” two days before her death.
Fans still miss her and leave emotional messages in her comment section.
