The Final Standoff Moat was finally found hiding in Cragside, a National Trust property in Northumberland.

During the standoff, he was offered food and water, and his friend Tony Laidler was brought to the scene in an attempt to get him to surrender.

Ex-England footballer Paul Gascoigne also arrived at the scene carrying a fishing rod and claiming he knew Moat.

The next day, Moat shot himself in the head.
