Taylor Swift has delighted fans yet again by releasing fresh vinyl variants of her upcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl.
After the first limited editions sold out almost instantly, the pop superstar surprised collectors with a brand-new set of vinyls featuring a third cover known as the Baby, That’s Show Business Edition.
A Glamorous Showgirl Theme Comes to Life
The new edition sticks closely to the striking Vegas showgirl motif, captured in a bold photo shoot by renowned photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
Known for their glamorous, eye-catching imagery, the duo perfectly complements Swift’s theatrical theme.
Fans can choose between two vinyl colours: lovely bouquet golden and lakeside beach blue sparkle.
The blue vinyl sold out within just 30 minutes of going on sale at 9pm South African time last Thursday, followed shortly after by the golden variant, disappearing a little past the hour mark.
Each vinyl is priced at around R650, highlighting the high demand for these collectible items.
Deluxe CD Variants Continue to Fly Off Shelves
Before the new vinyl launch, Swift also offered three deluxe CD editions of the album.
While these sold more slowly than the vinyls, they still disappeared rapidly, proving the appetite for collector-focused releases remains strong.
South African fans are advised to monitor Swift’s webstore closely, as new variants often appear with only a three-hour countdown before going live.
All editions maintain the cohesive showgirl theme, linking to Swift’s personal narrative about balancing life in the spotlight with her experiences on the Eras Tour.
Packaging, Not Bonus Tracks, Sets Editions Apart
Unlike some previous releases where deluxe editions included extra songs, Swift has made it clear that the differences in this album lie solely in the packaging.
“This is the record I’ve been wanting to make for a very long time,” she said.
“Every single song is on this album for hundreds of reasons… It’s just right.”
Countdown to the Album Release
With the album set to drop on 3 October, anticipation continues to build among fans and collectors alike.
Those hoping to secure these exclusive vinyl pieces should act fast, as they tend to vanish quickly.
