The health tech innovation space just got a jolt of energy from Tampa Bay.

Tampa Bay Wave, a nonprofit tech accelerator based in Florida, has just handpicked 16 promising startups from across the globe to take part in its 2025 HealthTech|X Accelerator — and the lineup is as impressive as it is diverse.

Backed by Big Names and Bold Vision

This year’s HealthTech|X program isn’t just any startup accelerator — it’s powered by serious support.

The U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) is funding the initiative, and several key partners are also behind it, including The Florida High Tech Corridor, USF Research & Innovation, and the USF Health Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation (CAMLS).

Corporate sponsors like Foley & Lardner, Levo Health, Thoropass, and Insight Assurance are also playing a major role, helping ensure these companies get the expert guidance, resources, and networking they need to thrive.

Tampa Bay Wave: Nurturing Startups Since 2013

This whole operation is led by Linda Olson, CEO of Tampa Bay Wave.

Under her leadership, the nonprofit has become a go-to launchpad for tech startups looking to grow in Florida and beyond.

Since 2013, the organization has supported over 500 startups, thanks in large part to public funding from the EDA and SBA, as well as partnerships with Hillsborough County and the City of Tampa.

With the 2025 HealthTech|X Accelerator now in motion, all eyes are on these 16 companies — and what they’ll achieve next.
