A man has been charged with committing a sexual act towards another person after an alleged incident on a train in Sydney.
According to reports, a female school student boarded the train at Arncliffe and went to the lower carriage en route to Hurstville on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at about 4:45 pm.
The man is said to have committed the act in front of the student before leaving the train at Hurstville Railway Station.
The girl reported the incident to police and an investigation was launched.
Police Transport Command south-west began the investigation after the student reported the incident to officers.
A 28-year-old man was arrested and taken to Kogarah Police Station after a public appeal for information.
The man has now been charged with one count of committing a sexual act towards another person.
