Staff Of ABS News And Current Affairs Celebrate Director Okpalaeze As He Marks Birthday

It was a glorious moment and joy for the Director, News and Current Affairs Department of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, Awka, Mr. Gab Okpalaeze as his staff hosted a surprised birthday party for him at the radio section of the newsroom.

Correspondent Emmanuel Chigbata reports that  Okpalaeze, a native of Nnokwa Community in Idemili South Local Government Area said he  was filled with joy to witness the surprise package by his staff, who in their numbers gathered to celebrate him admits jubilation and conviviality.

He is a veteran and a consummate professional in the media industry as well as an Ambassador of Peace.

Felicitating with him, the sponsors of the birthday party, Mrs. Ngozi Obileri and Mrs. Amaka Chibuzor-Okoye, while thanking God for the gift of life to the Director, whom they described as hardworking and a refined gentle administrator, who always showcased fatherly love to all his staff without discrimination, prayed God to bless him abundantly.

In their goodwill messages, Mr. Chibuzor Okoye, and Kenechukwu Chukwudi, described Mr. Okpalaeze as outstanding, pure administrator and energetic leader, whom they said have brought robust transformation in the news department of the establishment.

Responding, Mr. Okpalaeze who said he felt highly elated disclosed that he was shocked to see the surprise birthday party by his staff, whom he described as hardworking and dedicated, praying God to replenish them abundantly.

He however ceased the opportunity to urge them  to always work in line with the ethics and tenets of journalism to enable them grow and excel in the Media Industry.

Other staff that graced the celebration were, Mrs. Queen Anigbogu, Mr. Joseph Egbocha and Chibuzor Obidike among others.
