Spanish government demands investigation after Lamine Yamal hosts controversial birthday party involving paid women and dwarves in Barcelona

Turning 18 should be a joyful milestone, especially when you’re one of Spain’s most exciting football talents.

But for Barcelona star Lamine Yamal, what should’ve been a celebration has spiraled into a full-blown controversy — and now even the Spanish government wants answers.

A Party That Went Too Far

The drama started after Yamal threw a lavish, mafia-themed birthday party attended by around 200 guests, including teammates, family, and friends.

Held on a private estate, the bash included all the flashy details you’d expect — designer suits, luxury jewelry (including a £300,000 necklace gifted by rapper El Alfa), and zero phones allowed.

But what’s making headlines isn’t the glitz — it’s the people hired to entertain.

Allegations Spark National Outrage

A Spanish model named Claudio Calvo told a national TV show that she was invited to the event but turned it down after receiving some… questionable requirements.

According to her, organizers were hiring 12 blonde women with a specific breast size, offering them up to €20,000 to “have fun” at the party — all while keeping the location and exact expectations under wraps.

Even more disturbing to many was the presence of people with dwarfism, reportedly hired as part of the entertainment.

That detail prompted a swift and sharp reaction from the Association of People with Achondroplasia and Other Skeletal Dysplasias with Dwarfism (ADEE), who condemned the party and hinted at possible legal action.

Government Now Demanding a Full Investigation

The situation escalated quickly when Jesús Martín, Spain’s General Director of Disability, called for a formal investigation.

He emphasized that wealth and celebrity should not protect anyone from the law.

The government is now exploring whether Yamal could face a fine of up to £867,000.

“We are concerned that people with money and power believe they’re above consequences,” Martín said. “The law is for everyone.”

ADEE Speaks Out for Respect and Dignity

In a powerful statement, the ADEE didn’t hold back.

They called the hiring of people with dwarfism for entertainment not only unethical but also a violation of human dignity and current disability legislation.

The organization, which is part of the wider COCEMFE disability network, accused Yamal’s team of turning human difference into spectacle.

“The dignity and rights of our community are not entertainment,” said ADEE president Carolina Puente.

“It’s especially harmful when these acts involve public figures who influence young people.”

The Damage of Silence and Influence

While photos and videos from the party — including moments of Yamal singing on stage with teammates like Gavi and Alejandro Balde — have spread across social media, Yamal himself has remained quiet.

His only public reaction has been posting a short video clip from the event, writing, “Just 1 minute, enjoy it.”

But silence, according to critics, isn’t enough — especially when public figures have the ability to shape how society treats vulnerable groups.

Model Claims and Mysterious Invitations

Model Claudio Calvo, known for her previous pageant titles like Miss Teenager Spain 2021, claimed she had screenshots of her conversations with organizers.

She says she pulled out after realizing how vague and objectifying the invite was.

“They didn’t tell us exactly what we were expected to do — just that we were supposed to have a good time,” she said.

“But the requirements were clearly targeted. Blonde girls, certain breast size. It felt wrong.”

Social Media Reacts with Disbelief and Disappointment

While some party footage shows typical birthday fun — singing, dancing, friends gathered together — the underlying story has left many angry and disappointed.

Critics say it reflects a deeper problem in celebrity culture: the objectification of people for private amusement, hidden behind luxury gates and tight NDAs.

ADEE Calls for Support and Accountability

ADEE isn’t just calling out the party — they’re urging people with dwarfism to reach out for support and to know their rights.

“We will not remain silent,” Puente said. “This is about setting a clear line: no human should be treated as entertainment.”

No Public Apology Yet

As of now, Lamine Yamal has not issued any formal statement addressing the growing criticism or responding to the allegations from ADEE or Claudio Calvo.

But with the Spanish government involved, this birthday party may have consequences that extend far beyond bad press.
