Imagine building a thriving online career, only to have it derailed by a cosmetic surgery gone wrong.
That’s exactly what happened to social media influencer Danielle Mansutti, who is now taking legal action against a top Harley Street plastic surgeon.
She’s suing for a staggering £1.7 million, claiming the procedure left her disfigured and ultimately cost her her career.
The Surgery That Changed Everything
Danielle, a 30-year-old influencer with a massive following of 1.6 million YouTube subscribers, underwent breast implant surgery in December 2020.
However, what was meant to be a simple enhancement quickly turned into a nightmare.
When her left breast began to droop and her nipple pointed outward, she went back for further corrective surgeries in January and May 2021.
Despite multiple procedures, the issue persisted, leaving her in constant pain and with asymmetrical breasts.
Claims of Medical Negligence
After consulting a third surgeon, Danielle was informed that the implants had been too large for her petite size-eight frame.
The oversized implants allegedly caused severe damage, including tearing her chest muscles away from the bone.
She ultimately had them removed in May 2021 but was left with muscle damage, scarring, and what she describes as a “very poor cosmetic appearance.”
Now, she is holding Dr. Domenico Mileto accountable, accusing him of recommending implants that were far too big for her body.
The lawsuit includes claims for lost earnings, with Danielle stating that she was forced to abandon her successful career as an influencer due to the physical and mental toll of the botched procedures.
The Doctor’s Defense
Dr. Mileto, however, completely denies any wrongdoing. He insists that the implants were appropriate for Danielle’s desired look and that she was given a choice in size.
His legal team argues that she was shown multiple implant options and even had the chance to try them on before making a final decision.
They claim she was aware of what she was getting into and that the complications were not a result of medical negligence.
The Legal Battle
The case has now reached the High Court, with Danielle’s legal team arguing that she was not properly informed of the risks associated with large implants.
They claim she was not warned that the 400cc implants could lead to issues with her soft tissue, skin, and chest muscles.
Meanwhile, Dr. Mileto’s defense maintains that she was provided with all necessary information and that her dissatisfaction stems from personal preference rather than malpractice.
The Financial Fallout
Danielle’s lawsuit claims a total of £1.7 million in damages, with an estimated £1.4 million attributed to lost earnings from her once-booming social media career.
The court is also expected to hear from expert witnesses, including a psychiatrist, a breast surgery specialist, and an employment expert who will assess the financial impact of her lost online presence.
What’s Next?
The case is set to go to trial for five days, though a specific date has yet to be confirmed.
With both sides standing firm, the court will have to determine whether the surgery was indeed mishandled—or whether this is simply a case of unrealistic expectations.
Either way, the outcome could have a major impact on both Danielle’s future and the world of cosmetic surgery accountability.
