Just weeks after marrying her alleged killer, a 19-year-old woman was discovered dead in an acid bath. Aminah Hayat, a 19-year-old aspiring surgeon, was found dead in her flat in Sydney, Australia, on Sunday, Jan. 30 after police busted the door to the flat she shared with her girlfriend and accused killer Meraj Zafar, 20.
NSW Police stormed into the unit on Pennant Hills Road after receiving a complaint from a worried family member and discovered something shocking.
Aminah Hayat, a Bangladeshi national, is said to have moved in with Zafar six months ago and they married just two weeks before her death, according to Daily Mail Australia. Police believe she was killed between 12 pm and 5 pm on Saturday, Jan. 29, and she was left dissolving in the corrosive liquid for 24 hours in the flat. She left the body dissolving in a hot corrosive acid in a bathtub. The couple may be seen in photos on social media clutching one other in a loving embrace.
Aminah Hayat’ s parents were said to be dissatisfied with her plans to marry Zafar. According to the Daily Mail, they said she cut off all contact with them after she moved in with Zafar. Abu Hayat, her father, said in an emotional interview with 7News after her death. ” I adore my little girl. I’ d like to see my daughter again. After Zafar was seen departing the area in his pickup as he tried to escape, police initiated a manhunt.
He did, however, surrender to police at the Bankstown Police Station at 12. 30 p. m. on Monday, January 31. He has been accused of the murder of Aminah Hayat.
No one knows exactly what caused this gruesome scene. A proper traditional funeral cannot be performed since the body of the victim is too deteriorated
