Smokey Robinson, the Motown legend, is now facing additional claims of sexual misconduct from two more former employees.
The new lawsuit filings, obtained by TMZ, reveal that a fifth Jane Doe and a John Doe have come forward, alleging repeated inappropriate behavior during their time working for Robinson and his wife, Frances Gladney Robinson.
The male accuser claims that Robinson once grabbed his hand and tried to force him to touch the singer’s erect genitals.
Both plaintiffs reportedly worked as housekeepers for the couple.
Robinson’s Legal Team Denies All Claims
Christopher Frost, Robinson’s attorney, strongly denied the new allegations, calling them “fabricated claims.”
In a statement to the Daily Mail, he said the plaintiffs are part of a coordinated effort to generate negative publicity and extract money from the 85-year-old singer.
Frost added that the Robinsons have already filed a countersuit against the initial four accusers, accusing them of defamation, civil conspiracy, and elder abuse.
He emphasized that his clients are seeking court intervention to compel the anonymous accusers to provide evidence and testimony.
Details From the New Male Accuser
According to the lawsuit, the male accuser began working at Robinson’s Chatsworth home around 2013, cleaning and detailing the couple’s vehicles.
He alleged that Robinson would appear in his underwear, make sexually suggestive gestures, and, on one occasion, tried to force him into touching him.
The man claimed that he repeatedly rejected Robinson’s advances and eventually lost his job after the 2022 incident.
When invited back to work a year later, he alleged that Robinson’s behavior continued, leaving him humiliated and fearful for his safety and dignity.
Additional Allegations From Jane Doe
The new Jane Doe also made serious claims, alleging that Robinson repeatedly tried to force her hand onto his genitals—reportedly on more than ten occasions.
These allegations mirror the troubling pattern described by previous accusers.
Background of the Lawsuit
The original suit, filed in May, involved four former employees accusing Robinson of rape, sexual battery, and false imprisonment.
Robinson has denied all accusations and has called the legal claims an attempt to sabotage his tour and coerce financial payouts.
The civil lawsuit also names Frances Robinson and spans alleged incidents over nearly two decades, with victims claiming harassment while working in Robinson’s homes in Los Angeles and Las Vegas between 2007 and 2024.
Legal Maneuvers Continue
Robinson’s legal team has been actively seeking to gather evidence and compel depositions from the anonymous accusers, who have reportedly blocked efforts to collect relevant documents.
The ongoing case continues to unfold as both sides present their claims and counterclaims.
What This Means for Robinson
The new allegations add further complications to the singer’s legal battles.
With multiple accusers now coming forward, the high-profile case continues to attract media attention, putting Robinson’s reputation and decades-long career in the spotlight.
