What started as an ordinary Monday afternoon in Palm Beach County quickly turned into a scene straight out of a movie.
Drivers cruising down the road suddenly found themselves witnessing a terrifying moment — a small plane plummeted from the sky and crashed into a moving car.
Plane Slams Into Car While Trying to Land or Take Off
The incident unfolded near Lantana Airport, where the small aircraft either attempted to land or was taking off — investigators are still trying to piece that together.
As it descended, the plane clipped the roof of a Honda Civic, slamming into it before coming to a stop on the roadway.
Seven People Caught in the Impact
There were two people on the plane and five inside the car at the time of the crash.
Miraculously, all seven individuals survived the collision and were quickly taken to nearby hospitals.
While two of them were listed as “trauma alerts” due to more serious injuries, the other five were transported out of caution.
First Responders Left Stunned by the Damage — Or Lack of It
Emergency crews arriving at the scene couldn’t believe their eyes.
The plane’s front end was completely mangled — crushed beyond recognition.
But somehow, the car it hit only suffered minor damage.
The fact that no one was critically injured shocked even the most seasoned first responders, who know just how bad these types of crashes can be.
Investigation Still Underway
At this point, officials are still digging into what exactly caused the crash.
Whether it was a mechanical failure, pilot error, or something else entirely is still unknown.
The FAA and other agencies are expected to release more information as their investigation progresses.
