Simi stated in an interview with Juliet Ebirim of the Vanguard newspaper that she and her parents divorced when she was nine years old.
Simisola started her career as a gospel singer releasing her debut studio album titled “Ogaju” in 2008.
She has a unique sense of writing and delivering songs, her music style is usually in forms like Blues and rhythm, soul, and hip hops.
