A shooting has occurred in a church in the northern German city of Hamburg, resulting in six fatalities and seven serious injuries, as per reports on Thursday night. Another 17 people have suffered minor injuries.
The shooters are reported to be at large, and a major police operation is underway.
Authorities have warned of an “extreme danger,” and residents living nearby have been asked to evacuate their homes. People are also instructed to stay away from the area near a Jet gas station.
The incident reportedly occurred in a centre for Jehovah’s Witnesses, located in the Alsterdorf area of the city, according to local reports.
