Student Pepper-Sprays Teacher Twice in Tennessee High School
A Tennessee high school student has pepper-sprayed her teacher twice after he confiscated her phone during class.
The incident was filmed by another student on a cellphone and shared on Reddit.
The video shows the teacher fleeing the classroom after being sprayed, only to be sprayed again in the hallway by the same student.
The teacher had confiscated the phone because the student was “texting and Googling answers for her school work.”
The incident took place at Antioch High School outside of Nashville on Friday afternoon.
Teacher Attacked Twice in Two Months
The teacher attacked in this incident was previously punched in the face by a student two months ago inside the school, according to the same Reddit user who posted the video.
In that incident, the teacher had also confiscated a phone from a student who was cheating on a test.
Students Laughing and Joking About Violence
In the video, other students are heard laughing and joking about the violence, even as the teacher yells out in pain.
Several employees attempted to help out as the girl repeatedly demands her phone back.
The video ended with one teacher coughing as others intervened.

The video has sparked an emotional reaction online with hundreds of people responding to the assault.
Many expressed anger towards the student, calling for her to be charged with assault and expelled.
Some also criticized the school district for not providing a safe working environment for teachers.
