When Serena Williams retired from tennis in 2022, many wondered how she’d settle into life after the game.

But now, whether she’s spotted strolling through New York City with her family or playfully lifting her toddler mid-tennis swing, it’s clear she’s fully embracing the next season of her life—and looking effortlessly stylish while doing it.

Keeping It Cool in the Summer Heat

On Thursday, the 43-year-old tennis legend was seen enjoying a family day out in Manhattan, soaking up the sunshine while keeping things casual and cool.

Dressed in a deep burgundy romper that showed off her toned legs, Serena looked relaxed and radiant despite the sweltering temperatures.

She paired the look with metallic flip-flops, a heart-shaped pendant necklace, understated earrings, and carried her phone crossbody on a chain.

With her blonde hair tied back in a neat ponytail and a soft red lip accenting her natural makeup, Serena gave off effortless city-mom chic.

A Family Affair in the Big Apple

Joining her on the outing were her husband, Alexis Ohanian, and their two daughters.

Alexis, 41, kept things laid-back in a black tee, athletic pants, and matching black-and-white sneakers.

He topped it off with a black cap and wore a neatly trimmed salt-and-pepper beard.

He was seen carrying their youngest, 21-month-old Adira, who looked adorable in jeans, a white tee with navy details, and tiny white sneakers.

Meanwhile, big sister Olympia, now seven, rocked a sporty white crop top and matching joggers.

Like her mom, she had her hair pulled back into a low ponytail—clearly taking a page from Serena’s book of style.

Balancing It All Like a Pro

Later that day—or possibly on another outing—Serena was spotted again, this time managing the kids and their pet Yorkie with ease.

A woman, likely an assistant, carried what looked like Serena’s laptop while the former champion juggled both daughters and the pup.

Her multitasking didn’t end there. In a recent social media post, Serena gave fans a playful peek into her day-to-day life.

Posing on a tennis court with her toddler on her hip, she captioned the post with a witty nod to her former profession: “I never thought I would have to carry my doubles partner.”

Of course, she added a disclaimer: “Don’t try this at home!”

Hinting at a Possible Return to Tennis?

Though she’s officially retired, Serena’s recent post sparked a wave of speculation—could she be thinking about a comeback? Back in April, she opened up to Time magazine about how much she still misses the sport.

“I miss it a lot, with all my heart. I miss it because I’m healthy,” she said. “If I couldn’t walk, or if I was so out of it, I wouldn’t miss it as much.

But I just can’t peel myself away from these children.”

She went on to explain that starting a family was a huge part of her decision to walk away from professional tennis.

Reflecting on her youngest, Adira, she added thoughtfully, “Was it worth it? I thought about it the other day. I was like, ‘Yeah, it was worth it.’”
