Search for missing 13-year-old schoolgirl intensifies amid safety concerns

Police in Scotland are searching for a missing schoolgirl named Ellie Clark, who disappeared four days ago. Ellie, aged 13, was last seen on Thursday morning at around 8:15 am on Tulloch Terrace in Perth.

The investigators have reason to believe that she may have travelled to the East Kilbride area, as she has ties there.

As concerns grow for Ellie’s safety, detectives are working tirelessly, carrying out searches and reviewing CCTV footage in the hope of finding her. Police Scotland has issued an appeal for information about Ellie’s whereabouts, encouraging anyone who may have seen her to come forward.

Ellie is described as 5ft 3in tall, with long brown hair and was wearing a black jacket, black leggings and black Converse trainers when she was last seen. Inspector Kris McCall from Perth Police Station has expressed his concerns about Ellie’s welfare, stating that “as time passes, we are growing increasingly concerned for Ellie.”

Inspector McCall also urged people in Perth and the East Kilbride area to provide any information they may have that could help locate Ellie. He also made a direct appeal to Ellie to contact the police or approach any police officer, so they can ensure her safety.

Anyone with information about Ellie’s disappearance is encouraged to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2652 of Thursday, 2 March 2023.
