At a recent Philadelphia Eagles game, a viral video captured an unsettling incident involving a fan verbally abusing a woman.
The man responsible for the offensive remarks has now been identified as Ryan Caldwell, a 45-year-old business analyst working for BCT Partners, a management consultancy firm based in East Brunswick, New Jersey.
Caldwell’s Insulting Rant Caught on Camera
The footage shows Caldwell directing a series of inappropriate and offensive comments at a female Green Bay Packers fan.
In the video, he can be heard calling her an “ugly, dumb c***” while taunting her during the game.
The incident took place as the Eagles defeated the Packers 22-10 at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday.
The verbal assault was shared online by Packers fan Alexander Basara, who witnessed the exchange between his fiancée and Caldwell.
The video quickly gained traction, and internet users helped identify Caldwell.
Basara later took to social media, expressing his shock and frustration, writing, “Unprovoked, uncalled for… This is not okay.
I hate that my fiancée had this happen simply cheering for her team.”
Caldwell, who appeared to be escalating the situation, directly challenged Basara, saying, “Are you going to do anything? Then shut the f*** up.”
As Caldwell continued to shout from his seat behind them, Basara’s fiancée pretended to cry, mockingly responding, “I’m ugly, I’m so hurt.”
Backlash and Company Response
Once the video went viral, Caldwell’s online presence was swiftly erased, with both his X (formerly Twitter) and LinkedIn profiles disappearing.
As the situation gained attention, longtime NFL reporter Derrick Gunn revealed that Caldwell would be permanently banned from Lincoln Financial Field.
Additionally, the Eagles organization has promised to send merchandise to the woman involved and offer an apology for the incident.
Fans have rallied in support of the couple, condemning Caldwell’s actions.
Many pointed out how the harassment was uncalled for, with one fan stating, “Someone should’ve reported this as verbal abuse and got him kicked out of the stadium.”
BCT Partners Condemns the Behavior
In a statement, BCT Partners expressed its disapproval of Caldwell’s behavior, emphasizing that it contradicts the company’s values.
They affirmed that an internal investigation was underway to determine the appropriate actions to take.
“The conduct displayed was completely unacceptable,” the statement read.
“We sincerely apologize to everyone affected by this behavior and remain committed to fostering a culture of respect for all.”
Caldwell’s actions have sparked outrage, but his employer has taken steps to address the situation.
It remains to be seen what further actions will be taken as part of the ongoing investigation.
