Royal Silence: King Charles and Prince William Fail to Reach Out to Harry and Meghan After Car Chase

According to the biographer of Prince Harry and Meghan, the couple’s biographer claims that King Charles and Prince William have not reached out to them following their harrowing car chase incident, which has been described as “near catastrophic.”

The Sussexes’ spokesperson stated that photographers chased them in New York City on Tuesday after attending the Women of Vision awards.

However, the royal expert and co-author of their biography has reported that no member of the Royal Family has made contact with Harry and Meghan since the incident.

Omid Scobie, the couple’s biographer, tweeted on Thursday that representatives for King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Princess Kate have declined to comment.

He further mentioned that, as per his understanding, no member of the Royal Family has reached out to the Sussexes since news of the incident broke.

The press secretary for Harry and Meghan, Ashley Hansen, described the couple as “incredibly scared and shaken up” on Tuesday evening.

She claimed that NYPD officers had to intervene multiple times, confronting photographers and requesting space, but their requests were not respected.

Scobie, in an interview with the BBC, explained that the situation was not as dramatic as the statement might suggest, comparing it to a game of cat and mouse.

He described instances where the couple’s car was surrounded by photographers on bikes and cars in traffic, as well as moments when they attempted to lose their pursuers by speeding up to 80 mph on clear roads.

According to the spokesperson for Harry and Meghan, the incident involved approximately six cars with blacked-out windows that drove dangerously, putting their lives at risk.

They also stated that the chase had the potential to be fatal, as photographers were observed driving on sidewalks, running red lights, and taking pictures while driving.

The couple’s security officer, Chris Sanchez, described the alleged paparazzi chase as “very chaotic.”

He stated that he had never witnessed or experienced anything like it before.

Sanchez explained that at one point, the photographers blocked the couple’s limousine and continued taking pictures until they were able to exit the scene.

When Harry and Meghan reached their destination, they were reportedly “scared, exhausted, but relieved to be back,” according to Sanchez.
