While attending a glitzy London premiere, Rosie O’Donnell made more than just a fashion statement—she sent a loud and clear message to former President Donald Trump after his recent threat to revoke her citizenship.

The 63-year-old comedian and actress showed up at the premiere of the Burlesque musical wearing a bold “New York” themed outfit, fully embracing her American roots even while living overseas.

Making a Statement With Style

Rosie didn’t just attend the red carpet—she made it her runway for political protest.

She wore a grey jacket splattered with paint and adorned with the word “New York” printed all over it, front and center.

Her pants followed suit, literally, with neon lettering of her home state running down both legs.

Born in Commack, New York, Rosie may now call Ireland home, but it’s clear she hasn’t turned her back on her American identity—especially not when it’s being questioned.

A Playlist for the President

While speaking to Attitude, Rosie threw more jabs at Trump, recommending a few musicals she thinks he should watch to better understand American values and empathy.

Her top picks?

  • Hamilton, to educate him on the true meaning of leadership.

  • Les Misérables, for a dose of introspection and humanity.

  • La Cage aux Folles, as a reminder of the beauty and value of the LGBTQ+ community, a group she says Trump continues to marginalize.

Trump’s Outburst on Truth Social

All this follows Trump’s fiery post on Truth Social, where he shockingly suggested revoking Rosie’s U.S. citizenship.

He called her a “threat to humanity” and claimed she should remain in Ireland “if they want her.”

Legally, a U.S.-born citizen cannot have their citizenship revoked by a president, but that didn’t stop Trump, who is currently in his second term, from airing the threat.

Rosie Fires Back With Posts and Art

Unsurprisingly, Rosie didn’t let it slide.

She hit back hard across social media, accusing Trump of being linked to Jeffrey Epstein and even photoshopping Trump into memes, including one where his iconic red MAGA cap read, “I’m on the list.”

In a searing post, she said:

“I still live rent-free in that collapsing brain of yours… you call me a threat to humanity – but I’m everything you fear: a loud woman, a queer woman, a mother who tells the truth.”

Why She Left the United States

Rosie moved to Ireland earlier this year with her 12-year-old son, who has autism.

In her view, America under Trump had become a dangerous place—especially for marginalized communities.

She cited mental health, her child’s well-being, and her desire for equal rights as top reasons for leaving.

She says she’ll return only when the country feels safe and just again for everyone.

A Longstanding Feud That’s Only Intensified

This isn’t the first time these two have clashed.

Their feud dates back nearly 20 years, to Rosie’s days on The View.

Trump insulted her repeatedly over the years, even bringing her up unprompted during the 2016 election debates.

Now, with his second term in full swing, things have escalated.

Rosie accuses Trump of degrading the country and attacking her simply because she publicly opposes him and calls him out.

Pushing Back Against Injustice

In her TikTok and social posts, Rosie hasn’t just targeted Trump’s words—she’s gone after his policies.

She criticized his environmental rollbacks, saying they likely contributed to the July 4th floods in Texas that killed over 130 people.

She said:

“When the president guts all the early warning systems and forecasting agencies, disasters like this are what we’ll start seeing regularly.”

Still Fighting, Loud and Proud

Even across the ocean, Rosie is standing firm.

She continues to post art, videos, and commentary against Trump’s presidency and decisions.

She insists she’ll keep speaking out—not just for herself, but for everyone whose voices are being silenced.

Her message to Trump?

“You want to revoke my citizenship? Go ahead and try.

I’m not yours to silence—I never was.”
