Robbie Williams Successfully Removes Fungus-Infected Norway Maple from His £17.5 Million Mansion in Holland Park Despite Neighbor Jimmy Page’s Previous Complaints

Robbie Williams has had a rocky road when it comes to the plans for his mansion, particularly due to his ongoing conflict with his neighbor, Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page.

However, after a significant battle, Williams finally won a small victory last week when he managed to get a large tree removed from his property.

Despite some pushback, he successfully had the “fungus-infested” Norway maple taken down from his £17.5 million home in Holland Park, west London.

The Battle Over the Tree

The pop star, now 51, sought permission from the Kensington and Chelsea Council to remove the maple, which had reportedly been infected with honey fungus.

Williams hired tree surgeon Michael Goatly, who confirmed the tree’s declining health.

Despite one anonymous objection that questioned the necessity of felling the tree, the work went ahead.

The tree was situated close to the boundary wall that separates Williams’ property from Page’s own gothic mansion, a home that has caused tension between the two stars for years.

A Long History of Disputes

The trouble between Williams and Page dates back to 2014 when the former Take That member began renovations on his mansion.

Page, who lives next door, raised concerns that the vibrations from the construction could cause “catastrophic damage” to his Grade I-listed house.

Although Williams was granted permission to move forward, the spat grew more intense after he publicly accused Page of being “mentally ill” for continuing to complain.

Williams later apologized for this remark, but the feud didn’t end there.

The Feud Continues

The tension flared up again in 2018 when Williams applied to build an underground gym and pool at his property.

Page warned that the vibrations could cause “irreversible damage” to his home, but once again, planners sided with Williams.

Since then, the dynamics between the two have seemed to shift somewhat.

In 2022, when Williams sought approval to trim back a 70-foot tree that was damaging a boundary wall, Page surprised many by offering his support.

When Williams revised his application, officials relented, and the tree work went ahead.

Moving Forward?

Despite the ongoing disputes, there appears to be some progress in their relationship.

As for what’s next, it seems the saga between these two high-profile neighbors isn’t over, but for now, Robbie Williams can rest easy knowing that the tree issue has been resolved.
