Road side trading now illegal in Ogun

The Transition Committee Chairman, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Mr. Wasiu Lawal gave the warning at the Local Government Secretariat, Ota, where he said that any trader caught henceforth, would be made to face the full wrath of the law.

Traders have been warned against displaying their goods by the road sides as it causes traffic jam for motorists and make people vulnerable to road accidents.

The Local Government boss frowned at the traffic jam being experienced by motorists along the axis, occassioned by display of goods by road sides and directed all traders to showcase their wares henceforth at designated places, adding that many lives have been lost due to care-free attitude on the part of many market men and women.

He appealed to residents and traders to maintain orderliness at public places, shun all forms of misconduct and comply to all government’s regulations especially at this second wave of Covid-19.
