Ricki Lake proudly reveals plastic surgery transformation after reaching goal weight during TV appearance in New York

Sometimes, the glow-up comes with a little help—and Ricki Lake is proudly owning it.

After hitting a major weight loss milestone earlier this year, the 56-year-old actress and former talk show host opened up about a personal decision she made to feel even more confident in her own skin.

Saying Goodbye to Sagging Skin

Appearing on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Ricki shared that she recently had a lower face and neck lift after reaching her goal weight of 130 pounds.

She explained the reason behind the procedure was simple: after dropping a significant amount of weight, she was left with loose skin that bothered her.

“I had this certain skin hanging on my neck, and I had it fixed,” she said candidly.

Giving Credit Where It’s Due

Ricki wasn’t shy about giving a shout-out to the doctor behind her refreshed look—Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Allen Foulad. She even went as far as calling it “the best facelift I’ve ever seen.”

Andy Cohen, clearly impressed, chimed in with his own praise and joked about booking his own appointment: “That’s really good work!”

Ricki beamed as she responded, “You can’t see anything. It looks amazing.”

No Secrets Here

Transparency is Ricki’s thing, and she made it clear that she doesn’t believe in hiding procedures like this.

“I love that I can talk about it,” she said. “I’ve always been fully transparent. I don’t want there to be any stigma.”

Her openness comes shortly after Kylie Jenner spilled her own beauty secrets on TikTok, telling fans about her breast augmentation in vivid detail.

Ricki, it seems, is part of a growing wave of celebs pushing back against plastic surgery shame.

No Ozempic, No Problem

Ricki’s transformation has been striking—she’s dropped 40 pounds from her 5’3” frame in under two years.

And in a world where celebrities are turning to weight-loss injections like Ozempic and Wegovy, Ricki chose a different path.

She told Us Weekly that she didn’t qualify for the drugs and didn’t want to depend on them anyway: “There’s nothing wrong with those drugs.

They’re game changers. But I didn’t want to be reliant if I could help it.”

The Hard Work Behind the Glow

Instead of prescriptions, Ricki leaned on a full lifestyle shift.

She followed a keto diet, did intermittent fasting, kept up with Pilates, and even hiked two miles every day wearing a weighted vest.

She tracked her progress using a glucose monitor and Oura ring, emphasizing the importance of sleep and low stress in her success.

“It worked. And it continues to work,” she said.

A Lifetime of Struggles and Growth

Ricki’s honesty about her body image journey isn’t new.

She’s spoken often about her decades of battling with yo-yo dieting and once weighed as much as 260 pounds.

Her recent achievements, physically and emotionally, are a full-circle moment for someone who once felt like she’d never have a healthy relationship with her body.

Family Life and Fresh Starts

In between personal victories, Ricki is also celebrating milestones at home.

Her youngest son, Owen, turns 24 on June 18, and she shares him with her first husband, Rob Sussman, alongside their older son Milo, 28.

Earlier this year, Ricki and her current husband Ross Burningham faced tragedy when their $5 million Malibu home was destroyed in the Palisades wildfire.

The couple has since relocated to New York City for a fresh start.

The Legacy Lives On

While Ricki has reinvented herself multiple times over the years, fans still remember her best from her long-running daytime talk show (1993–2004) and her breakout role as Tracy Turnblad in John Waters’ Hairspray (1988).

She’s also appeared in cult favorites like Cry-Baby, Serial Mom, and NBC’s Hairspray Live! in 2016.

Now, with a fresh face, a fit body, and a fearless attitude, Ricki Lake isn’t just aging gracefully—she’s doing it her way, with no apologies.
