IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:

1.Yellow level 2 Warning for disruptive rainfall leading to localized flooding is expected over the central and the western parts of Free State, the western parts of North-West and the eastern parts of the Northern Cape.

FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:

1.Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over Kamiesberg local municipality of the Northern Cape, Witzenberg and Breede Valley local municipalities of the Western Cape.

Gauteng:

Temperature: Cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershPartly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Cloudy at first, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers except over the lowveld where it will be hot.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Cloudy in the east at first, otherwise partly cloudy and hot to very hot with isolated showers and thundershowers in the west.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Cloudy and cool to warm, with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the west.

Free State:

Temperature: Morning fog patches in the east, otherwise cloudy and cool, becoming partly cloudy in the east by the afternoon, with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Morning fog patches along the coast, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers in the east but scattPartly cloudy at first, otherwise cloudy and warm, with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered in east.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh southerly to south-easterly, becoming strong in places from late afternoon.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Morning fog PATCHES in places along the coast, otherwise fine and warm to hot but very hot in places over the north and central parts. It will become partly over the central and eastern parts with isolated thundershowers over the Central and Little Karoo by the afternoon.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh easterly to north-easterly along the south coast in the morning, otherwise moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly but strong between Table Bay and Cape Agulhas at first and again in places north of Cape Point by the afternoon.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half – Morning fog patches in places over the interior, otherwise fine and warm to hot. It will become cloudy with scattered showers and thundershowers in the afternoon, but isolated in the south.

The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north easterly, reaching fresh to strong in places in the afternoon.

The Eastern half -Morning fog patches in places south of the escarpment, otherwise cloudy and cool to warm with scattered showers and thundershowers, but isolated along the coast and adjacent interior.

The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north easterly, becoming fresh to strong in the afternoon.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the extreme north-east.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate south-westerly in places in the morning, otherwise gentle to moderate easterly to north-easterly.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.
