In a major step toward democratizing startup investing across Europe, venture capital firm Redstone has teamed up with Berlin-based WealthTech platform NAO.
Their joint mission?#
To open up new and more convenient pathways for both institutional and everyday investors to tap into some of the continent’s most promising tech-driven startups.
A Closer Look at the Redstone Global Venture ELTIF
At the center of this development is the Redstone Global Venture ELTIF — a European Long-Term Investment Fund that pulls together a wide portfolio of Redstone’s venture capital investments.
This includes exposure to over 200 startups across five different specialist funds.
The fund covers high-growth sectors like FinTech, DeepTech, Artificial Intelligence, Education, and Health.
Some of the standout names already in the portfolio include Exein, Timeleft, Planradar, and Finanzguru.
And Redstone isn’t stopping there — future strategies will further diversify the fund by bringing in newer investment directions.
Investment Made Simple for Professionals and Institutions
Traditionally, investing in elite venture capital funds came with a maze of red tape.
But now, institutional, professional, and semi-professional investors can take part in the Redstone Global Venture ELTIF through a simplified process.
With the fund now assigned an ISIN, investors can subscribe through most banks in structured tiers of €25,000, €250,000, or €5 million, significantly reducing administrative hurdles.
NAO Brings Startups to the Everyday Investor
For the first time, retail investors aren’t left behind.
Thanks to Redstone’s collaboration with NAO, individuals can now add startup investments to their personal portfolios with as little as €1,000.
This is all made possible through the NAO app, a platform designed to break down barriers to Private and Alternative Investments.
NAO’s app features handpicked investment opportunities that were once reserved only for high-net-worth individuals and professionals.
Now, these opportunities are accessible to a much broader audience.
Meet the Minds Behind the Partnership
Robin Binder, the founder and CEO of NAO, leads the charge in reshaping how retail investors engage with private markets.
His platform works with an impressive roster of financial powerhouses, including UBS, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Baader Bank, Partners Group, BNP Paribas AM, and others.
The goal: connect regular investors with elite-level investment opportunities.
Meanwhile, Michael Brehm, General Partner at Redstone, brings a wealth of experience in scaling tech startups.
Redstone operates out of Berlin, with additional offices in Munich, Zurich, and Helsinki, managing a rich portfolio of innovative companies in rapidly evolving sectors.
What’s Coming Next?
With this strategic partnership now live, Redstone and NAO are setting the stage for a more inclusive and streamlined future of venture investing.
The next phase will likely include broader fund offerings, new asset classes, and even more simplified tools for investors to get involved.
For both seasoned institutions and curious individuals alike, the door to startup investment in Europe has never been more open.
