Across many parts of the world, access to basic health services and clean water is still out of reach for millions.
But there are social entrepreneurs out there who are working hard to change that.
Now, Reckitt is stepping in to help these change-makers scale their impact.
They’ve launched a global search for up to 20 social innovators who are already making waves in the health and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) sectors—and they’re offering the tools to take things to the next level.
The initiative, known as the Reckitt Catalyst Accelerator, is specifically targeting entrepreneurs from Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Mexico, and Brazil—countries where health access remains a critical issue, but where innovation is thriving.
Who Can Apply for the Reckitt Catalyst Programme?
To be considered, applicants must meet a few important criteria:
-
You must be part of a for-profit, legally registered organisation that’s already generating revenue.
-
Your company should be headquartered and actively operating in at least one of the eight focus countries.
-
Even if your business is incorporated in places like Delaware (USA), you’re still eligible—as long as your main operations and leadership are rooted in one of the target markets.
What’s in It for the Winners?
Reckitt isn’t just offering a pat on the back. They’re putting serious support behind the selected ventures through a 6-month accelerator programme, which includes:
-
Hands-on mentorship and expert training provided by the team at Young Sustainable Impact (YSI) and Health Innovation Exchange (HIEx).
-
Flexible funding, with up to $30,000 available per entrepreneur to grow and scale.
-
Increased exposure, including access to public procurement opportunities that can fast-track business growth.
-
A chance to connect with a wider global health and hygiene ecosystem that’s full of partners, collaborators, and future investors.
