A yoghurt sold at IGA shops nationwide in two states has been urgently recalled due to concerns about “chemical contamination” that might cause consumers to get dangerously sick.

The Brownes Dairy Mango Yogurt 120g is being recalled by Brownes Food Operations Pty Ltd. The product has an expiration date of October 14, 2022.

IGA in NSW and WA, among other independent food merchants, have been selling the product.

When sanitizing solution found its way into the product, there was a chemical contamination that led to the recall.

Consuming food goods with low sanitizing solution concentrations might result in disease or even harm.

It is suggested that customers avoid eating this product.

Anyone who has any reason to be worried about their health should see a doctor.

Consumers must return the item to the store where it was bought in order to get a complete refund.
