People heading to work in one of London’s swankiest areas got a nasty surprise this morning.

Just behind the luxury Claridge’s Hotel in Mayfair, a man was reportedly stabbed in what witnesses say was a completely random and terrifying attack.

Calm Morning Turns Chaotic on Brook’s Mews

It all unfolded around 7:30am near Brook’s Mews — a quiet street usually buzzing with deliveries and early café staff, not police sirens and ambulances.

A cordon was quickly put up as officers secured the scene, and witnesses spotted what looked like a kitchen knife lying on the ground.

One business owner nearby recalled the chaos: “As I was arriving for work, there were already police and ambulances everywhere.

Someone said the victim had been stabbed five times – three in the stomach, once in the back, and once in the arm.”

Victim Rushed to Hospital After Brutal Knife Attack

Emergency crews didn’t waste any time.

The London Ambulance Service confirmed they received the call at 7:53am and sent a full response — including a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance.

The injured man was treated at the scene and taken to hospital as a priority case.

A witness added, “It was really unsettling. They took the man away in an ambulance, and we were told nothing was stolen.

The police think it was just a random attack.”

Police Launch Investigation and Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that the victim survived the attack, though no arrests have been made so far.

They’re now investigating the incident and trying to track down the suspect, who had already fled by the time officers arrived.

Authorities are encouraging anyone who saw what happened to speak up.
