R. Kelly has been credited with helping to redefine R&B and hip hop, earning nicknames such as “the King of R&B”, “the King of Pop-Soul”, and the “Pied Piper of R&B.

He was found guilty of being the ringleader of a decades-long scheme to recruit women and underage girls for sex.

The verdict represents the first criminal consequence for the singer after decades of accusations of sexual abuse.

R. Kelly sat motionless in the courtroom as he was found guilty of all nine counts of the racketeering and sex-trafficking charges against him.
