Queen Camilla confirmed! Prince Charles reacts to big announcement

Queen Elizabeth II has made a special announcement to commemorate her Platinum Jubilee (the first British monarch to rule for seven decades).
When her husband, Prince Charles, ascends to the throne, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, will be known as the Queen Consort.
Prince Charles… then King and Queen Camilla

“And when, in the fullness of time, my son Charles becomes King, I know you will give him and his wife Camilla the same support that you have given me; and it is my sincere wish that, when that time comes, Camilla will be known as Queen Consort as she continues her own loyal service.”
Queen Eilizabeth II said in a statment

Sunday marks exactly 70 years since Queen Elizabeth first ascended to the throne. She was just 25 years old at the time.
With Prince Charles set to take over when the time comes, he is clearly delighted at his mother’s wish for his wife.
In his own statement a day after the announcement, the Prince released his own statement thanking the queen. And of course, paying tribute.

“We are deeply conscious of the honour represented by my mothers wish. As we have sought to support and serve Her Majesty and the people of our communities. My darling wife has been my own steadfast support throughout. “

No young King just yet.
While there is plenty of public appetite for Prince Charles to skip the crown and hand it straight to William, it now seems all but given that Charles will be king.
In honour of the Queen’s jubilee, Buckingham Palace has released a new photograph.
The new photo side by side with a collection of the Queen and her signature red boxes show just how long her reign has been. The red boxes are used to hand the Queen her daily papers and updates.
