It’s no secret that Princes William and Harry don’t often see eye to eye these days.
But one thing that has sparked a rare moment of unity between the estranged brothers is their shared frustration over Paul Burrell, their late mother Princess Diana’s former butler.
Burrell is preparing to release a third memoir filled with personal stories — stories he reportedly held back while the Queen was still alive.
A Secret Meeting and a Broken Promise
Back in November 2017, the two princes confronted Burrell in a private meeting at Kensington Palace.
William took the lead, expressing their displeasure over Burrell’s repeated use of Diana’s memory for financial gain.
Harry, though quieter, was visibly angry that Burrell had betrayed their mother’s trust time and again.
At the end of that tense summit, Burrell promised to stop exploiting his connection to Diana and hoped to start fresh with the brothers.
A New Book and Renewed Tensions
Now, Burrell seems to have broken that promise.
His new book, The Royal Insider, is set to come out this September, with a striking cover featuring a photo of him alongside Diana.
The memoir promises to offer candid details about the drama inside the Palace, including the breakdown of Charles and Diana’s marriage and Burrell’s complicated relationship with William and Harry.
The publishers say Burrell felt only after the Queen’s passing could he finally tell his full story — a decision that’s clearly making the princes wary.
