Five years after stepping away from royal duties and into the world of global media, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are once again making headlines — this time by renewing their collaboration with Netflix.

The couple has secured a multi-year “first look” deal that will see them producing fresh film and television projects under their Archewell Productions banner.

New Stories on the Horizon

The updated agreement includes some eye-catching projects.

Among them is a Christmas special for With Love, Meghan, the feel-good series that already has a second season arriving later this month.

They’re also set to release a heartwarming documentary titled Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within, which will spotlight an orphanage in Uganda.

A Busy Creative History with Netflix

This isn’t the couple’s first venture with the streaming giant.

Netflix has already released their debut With Love, Meghan season, as well as titles like Polo, Heart of Invictus, Live to Lead, and the explosive Harry & Meghan docuseries that pulled back the curtain on their lives.

The platform has even partnered with Meghan’s lifestyle brand, As Ever, which has seen products flying off shelves.

Meghan on Expanding Their Vision

Speaking about the new agreement, Meghan said:

“We’re proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As Ever brand.

My husband and I feel inspired by our partners and our Archewell Productions team, creating thoughtful content that resonates globally and reflects our shared vision.”

The Original Big-Money Deal

The Sussexes’ relationship with Netflix began in 2020, shortly after they left their roles as senior working royals.

That initial contract was reportedly worth more than $100 million (£74 million) and became one of the most talked-about media deals of the decade.

A Scaled-Back but Strategic Renewal

While details of the new deal’s value haven’t been officially released, reports suggest it’s worth less than their original agreement — a sign of Netflix slightly loosening its financial commitment to the pair.

Even so, it keeps them firmly in the company’s creative circle.

Netflix Praises the Couple’s Impact

Bela Bajaria, Netflix’s chief content officer, expressed her excitement for the renewed partnership:

“Harry and Meghan are influential voices whose stories resonate worldwide.

Harry & Meghan became one of our most-watched documentaries, and With Love, Meghan has inspired fans — with As Ever products selling out in record time.

We’re thrilled to continue creating together.”

What’s Next for the Sussexes?

With a mix of heartfelt documentaries, seasonal specials, and lifestyle-inspired programming, Harry and Meghan seem determined to keep shaping their public image through meaningful storytelling.

Whether or not the scaled-down deal signals a shift in their strategy, it’s clear their Netflix chapter is far from over.
